Acne Clinical Trial

Looking for volunteers to participate in a research study using an investigational topical lotion for individuals that suffer from Acne. Study participants must be 12 years of age or older to participate. The research study last 12 weeks and requires 6-7 visits to clinic for acne assessments. If you qualify, the following will be provided at no cost:

  • Study medication or Placebo
  • Dermatological Exams
  • Compensation for time/travel if you qualify

You may be eligible to participate in a Clinical Research Study if you:
Are over the age of 18
Have red scaly patches of skin
Can visit our office 6 times in about 8 weeks

Participants will receive:

  • Free skin exams
  • Study drug or placebo
  • Up to $150.00 dollars for participation

We are conducting a research study evaluating an investigational drug for the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK).

We need research participants who:
Are 18 years or older in good general health
Have spots on the face and /or anterior scalp

Qualified research participants will receive:

  • Examination by a Board Certified Dermatologist- Dr. Toivo Rist
  • Study related examinations and investigational drug at no charge
  • Compensation for time and travel

APPLES(TM) - a prospective pediatric longitudinal evaluation study

  • Do you have ECZEMA or ATOPIC DERMATITIS?
  • Have you use PROTOPIC® (tacrolimus) Ointment before you were 16 years of age to treat your eczema?
  • Would you be interested in participating in a long-term program that will monitor your health?

Are you being treated with AMEVIVE® (alefacept) for your Psoriasis at Dermatology Associates of Knoxville, PC?

ATLAS

If so, you may qualify to participate in an observational research study being conducted at this office. The ATLAS Study involves only 1 office visit. The remainder of your participation will be via follow-up phone calls. These calls should last about 20 minutes and are scheduled at your convenience every 6 months.

You will be compensated $10 for each follow-up phone call you complete.

Be a part of this psoriasis medical research study

For an estimated 3 million Americans, living with plaque psoriasis is a daily challenge. But most psoriasis patients work hard, with their doctors, so their condition does not control their lives. It.s a constant battle-one that matters today, and for future generations.

If you have been diagnosed with plaque psoriasis, we.d like to talk with you. As part of a five-year medical research study, doctors are working to understand the long-term health and safety outcomes of Raptiva® (efalizumab) and other biologic medications.

You may qualify for this study if you:
Have been diagnosed with chronic moderate to severe plaque psoriasis by a medical doctor, AND
Are currently being treated with Raptiva® or another biologic psoriasis treatment.
Qualified participants will receive study-related medical evaluations at no cost. No medications will be provided as part of this study-all participants will continue with their current drug therapy. Reimbursement for your participation will be provided.

Psoriasis Research Study

A research study of an investigational psoriasis is now being conducted at research centers throughout the US and Canada. The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational topical treatment for plaque psoriasis.
Participation in this research study involves as many as nine visits to a local physician's office over a period of twenty-four weeks and includes study related examinations, lab tests, and study-related medication at no cost.

Inclusion Criteria:
Age 12 or older
Diagnosed with psoriasis

Exclusion Criteria:
Skin disease or variation of psoriasis other than plaque psoriasis in areas to be treated Netherton's syndrome or other skin diseases that result in a defective epidermal barrier Hypersensitity to macrolides such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin

Other criteria may apply.

 

 

Do you have white spots on your skin? Do they get worse after you are out in the sun or getting a tan? If so, these may be sunspots.

Dermatology Associates of Knoxville is now conducting a clinical research study to evaluate an investigational shampoo and its effect on sunspot fungus.
Qualified participants will receive at no cost:

  • Study related exams
  • Study related shampoo or placebo
  • Study related lab work

Qualifying participants will receive financial compensation for their time and travel.

Problem Dandruff?

Do you suffer from SCALY SKIN on your scalp, hairline, face, or chest? You may have Seborrheic Dermatitis.
The SebDermEx Study is a four-week research study of an investigational drug for seborrheic dermatitis.

Those who qualify for the SebDermEx Study will receive at no cost:

  • Study related medical evaluations
  • Study related medication
  • Reimbursement for time and travel

Participants must be at least 12 years of age.
