Matt was raised in Proctorville, Ohio, a small town along the Ohio River. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from Maryville College in 1997. He completed his Master of Medical Science with honors at Emory University in 2001. He joined DAK in 2003 after working in Orthopedic Surgery. From a young age he has had a servant’s heart and love for science, ultimately leading him into the field of medicine.
Matt serves as a Deacon at his church and is involved in various ministries there. He also lectures for the Physician Assistant Program at South College and enjoys coaching his children’s athletic teams.
Matt and his wife, Mandi, have two sons and a daughter. Some of his personal interests are triathlons, basketball, snowboarding, weight lifting, camping and playing guitar.
